Spring-Like weather

Well, it is almost spring out there, and it is Nov.22! Happy Thanksgiving to all our American counterparts out there! I'm sure the pocket books will be in full operation mode tomorrow!

Had a good show last weekend. It was great to see some old faces (and some not so old!)!lol THere were lots of new vendors, and the buttertart lady made it to 12:30 before packing up....nothing! She sold out of all her baked goods, and I tell you, those tarts were VERY good. I will go next year just to get some of her tarts!

One of my wonderful paintiing ladies has gotten together some friends of hers whom have never scrapbooked or made cards before to make some Christmas cards. This is what I have been waiting for, some way to crack into the market to get some sort of card club or scrapbooking thing going so that my Stampin' Up! products can get sold. They are releasing their new Spring Mini next week, and again, FaBulOus Job! The stuff in there is all a must have. I love how their designers have gotten into the altered aspect of the craft. Fantabulous stuff!

Look for some tutorials and projects coming up in the New Year. I will try my hand at something like that, just for fun to see how it works. I will also be posting some pics of my latest projects in the next couple of days, so y'all know what I've been up to!

Craft Show Ready

Good morning, Folks!

Been awhile since my last update, and I picked this week to get up and started again as there is a craft show coming up at Timothy Christian School on November 17 from 9:00-2:00pm. Live auction, silent auction, lunch, crafts, and even evergreen arrangements! Tons of stuff, so come on by to check it out. The school is located just south of the Mapleview-Essa intersection.
I will have some hand-painted ornaments for sale as well as some cool scrapping things...cards, mini albums (Toilet Paper roll ones), explosion box or two, so I have been busy!! Mention you saw my blog, and you will win a prize!

 This would the Pet workshop quick class. Thought I would tackle some summery, bright colours for a change!

 A friend of mine is hooked on decoupaging journal books! This is one her and I did together for her friend to celebrate a life goal.

 This album is a ton of fun to do!! Who would have thought toilet paper rolls could look so good?? Perfect for those fav shots to show off on your mantel, shelf, even in the bathroom for those guests who like to linger!

 Our first tag we did using decoupage techniques, stamping and some gaffer tape thrown in!

 An experiment with beeswax inspried by rach0113 on youtube. What a wonderful artist she is! I have recreated a few things from her and tust me! You will not be disappointed!

Finally got some new photos to show off!! We are getting ready to teach some tag workshops as well as our Pet Layout (hopefully). It has been post-poned a couple times, so hopefully our next scheduled date will work for everyone and some new ladies as well! I am alos posting photos of what the TP Mini Album looks like. Thanks to mysistersscrapper on youtube for the idea!! Looks wonderful! Hope to see you at our upcoming classes in August and Septmeber. Lots to choose from!

Hey all you scrappers out there!! I have been very lazy in getting on here, but have turned a knew leaf! would like to get a bit invloved, actually post photos of what I am working on, and hope everyone tries it too!! Celebration of Arts and Crafts

Good morning, everyone! Tomorrow will find me and my trusty helper, Mikayla, my daughter, at the Simcoe County Museum to celebrate all the things that are crafty! The local guild is putting on a show to celebrate the wonders of how to be creative, and I am there as both a Stampin' Up! rep as well as the spokesperson for the Scrappin' GYPSIES! I will have a small make'n take to do as well as hopefully getting a demo in. There will also be Scrappin' GYPSIES and Stampin' Up! product there to purchase, so bring along some cash!! There are some good things to be had there tomorrow! Really hope to see a few of you wonderful ladies out there!

I have been eyeing this wonderful tray for years! Thought it woulkd be a lot of work, and just never got around to doing it. Bit the bullet yesterday while my husband went out snowmobiling (so I did not feel guilty working!!), and it wasn't that bad! Thought I had one of these trays, but I didn't! This is a Tim Holtz Printer Tray, and only used about half of the boxes. Primarily, this is the Curio Line by BasicGrey (my FAV!), and a KaiserCraft wooden dress form. I painted the tray using DecoArt Americana Burnt Umber, then sanded the edges to get the worn look. Still have to add some photos (upper two boxes as well as in the middle), but what a fabulous piece to adorn my living area. Please leave comments below, and thanks for looking!

Good morning, everyone! Try as I might, i am getting some stuff done. I just finished a few layouts and some cards as well as a Tim Holtz Printer Tray this weekend. As I am a Stampin' Up! rep, and in an Arts and Crafts showcase this coming weekend, I thought I had better get some stuff ready to showcase! To advertise the Scrappin' GYPSIES is also on the agenda, so my upcoming portion of the workshops will also be done for all to see! I will post some pics up soon, so  be sure to keep checking back so see what's upcoming. Just to be clear, I did scrap-lift the tray, put a little spin on it to make it mine, but the idea came from the Scrapbook.com gallery website. There are so many talented people out there, and when I first started stamping/scrapping, I thought, "How creative can you be? You can only do so much with a stamp!" Little did I know back then! Tole painting was my chosen form of art, but my eyes have seen the light! I can do both at the same time and they actually compliment each other. Now to get the photos on the projects. I find that the hardest element to add. Eventually they do get added, but it does take awhile!! Enjoy the wonderful, balmy day out there today! Good afternoon out there! i am trying to get some stuff done for a possibility of entering stuff into a design competition. A little scray but at the same time exciting as well. Crunch time is the best for me to get those creative juices flowing! That and coffee usually helps! And bad weather. Love it when it when it rains/snows and looking out the window right now, the wind has picked up and the clouds have rolled in and light snow is blowin'! If anyoe out there had any suggestions on art projects that they would like to see, please feel free to post as I am interested in delving in different concepts.

I am getting bitten by the mixed media bug! I styarted a project yesterday, and well, I  think it looks really cool! It is not finished yet as I am missing one element. I will post a photo when all is said and done!

Was consumed by watching youtube ideos this morning, but they inspired me to get in the craft room and to GET DIRTY! Rach0113's vids are wonderful for that! You could check her out on youtube and see what I mean. So grab a cup of coffee or tea and wonder at her creativity. She is a multi-media artist, so if you are like me and like that type of thing, enjoy!

Hey Scrappin' Gypsies gals and fellow scrappers!!
Getting all prepared to teach tomorrow's "Love is in the Air" layout. I alos get to enlighten a few o you to cool folding wallet for brag photos and other good stuff that you can fit in it. I found it on youtube. I love that thing!! Great ideas! I could sit and watch for hours!

something new!

Wow!! To start blogging is something sureal for sure! My Scrappin' GYPSY partner has convinced me to go this route to "expand" the horizons! Well, it will be interesting! I am looking forward to posting creations I have made for the Scrappin' GYPSIES as well as ones I have created on the side just for the love of creating. Hope you find some inspiration along the way. Any tidbits to help me, please leave a comment!
