shop day

Good afternoon, scrapping Diva's!!

I would like to take this opputunity to apologize to anyone who either stopped by today at the shop or was intending to come to the crop, but at 11:10, I had a family emergency of sorts, so had to be away for the afternoon. Consequently, no one here to mind the shop! I will make that up for you ladies, I'll put an extra day in during hte month on October. The colours are beautiful in the trees, and would make wonderful layouts!

I do still have room in some of my classes, and please stop by to the shop to see all the new paper lines in Graphic 45 (Steampunk Spells, 12 Days of Christmas, Mother Goose, Typography), Basic Grey (25 & Pine), Theresa Collins (Christmas), Authentic, Bo Bunny (the Avenues), My Minds Eye (Christmas), Simple Stories (Simply Cheese, Christmas, Sn@p), and all kinds of other goodies pertaining to Tim Holtz! Glitter, paint, ink, Ideaology, Paper, embossing folders, some dies (can order specifically for you!) and your ScorTape headquarters~

Also a reminder that I do sell Stampin' Up! products, so if anyone would like any of the new Christmas goodies, or some of their wonderful cardstock, please email your order, and you will have it within 8 days so you can get started on all your Christmas cards!!

Have a wonderful weekend! And remember....

Weekend

Hi there everyone!

I would really love to thank you all of you ladies for coming by this weekend! It is so wonderful to see everyone after a Summer break as well as meet new and totally awesome new scrappers to join us!

I am going to be one busy lady, getting together with all of you to share some really cool techniques! I have registered to take Tim Holtz's chem102 this fall, and as some of you remember after I took the first one, boy, did we learn lots!

The weather has cooled off a bit from last week, so can get out there and take some fall shots to scrap. It wasn't until I do was doing some of my layouts that I discovered I don't have those photos! On the agenda this fall, apple orchard picking! Even if I have to drag those kids kicking and screaming! ( the ones at home are 17 & 22!)

Hi Folks!! Just getting all my stuff ready for an Open House I will be having here next week to showcase my up and coming classes! I used to do this with my painting classes and it worked really well, so I'm trying it with my scrapping classes. Only thing is, I have to get all the projects ready to view for you all to look at and sign up for. A lot of work at the outset, but usually worth it! You come by, look and choose which classes you would like to sign up for, pay a deposit or the whole thing, and you are in there! Some classes will be limited, and it is first come-first served, so sign up to avoid disappointment!

I have so much creating these things, but sometimes it is hard to stay indoors in this beautiful weather! It will only last so long, so I'm trying to get out to enjoy at least an hour or so outdoors.

This coming Friday, Sept. 13 from 10:00-7:00 as well as Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10:00-5:00 at 47 Parr Blvd in Utopia, I will be here with all these wonderful, new projects! Most are using the latest paper lines, however some are from last years collections, mainly because I just LOVE the paper!!

If you would like to be added to my mailing list to receive my latest flyer, just message me your email, and I will get that out to you right away!

And tomorrow is supposed to rain, and what better day to stay in and work on projects! But where am I??? Of course it's raining, and what better place to be other than in Gravenhurst racing a 3km race on Gull Lake! I did it last year as well, and boy was it raining! Although it is fun, being out in the rain all day can certainly dampen your spirits...no pun intended.

Enjoy your weekend, ladies, and I look forward too seeing you all next weekend!

Cheers,
Cheryl

Hey everyone!!
Wow, story of my life, taking forever to post something! Just had a couple wonderful ladies taking a layout class with me, and boy, they were lickity-split fast! Carin has just started her blog, and has inspired me to keep mine updated, at least once per week.

I do have my store open for a couple more days next week, then I will be taking the summer off. I will certainly post any days I do plan to have either a crop or the store open, if I plan to do so, throughout the summer, but as we all know, summer is so short, we gotta cram all our outdoor stuff in before the snow flies.

I am busy getting some mini albums done. Got hired out to design my first wedding invite, so that was cool! She is now happily married and enjoying their honeymoon in Greece. Nice exotic and romantic place for sure!
I am going to try to get some
youtube videos up on the blog, but that may turn out to be an exercise in frustration. I'll keep you posted!! :))

In the craft room now looking to get a load of thank-you cards and birthday cards made, get some ideas flowing for the Christmas season (just got the new Stampin Up! Holiday catalogue --- WOW!---break open the bank!).

Look forward to some cool classes coming in the fall. I do have lots of Tim Holtz product on hand along with one of the new lines of Graphic 45, Steampunk Spells. I would also like to try and get my painting classes up and running, as I do find it combines fantastically well with the altered art media.
So hey! Enjoy your wonderful day, with all this terrific sunshine, and Happy Summer Solstice tomorrow!!

Cheers,
Cheryl

scrap day

Good morning, folks!

A quick update on the goings on of the last little while. I am getting excited for all the new product out there, and offering a little of it your way! If would like to be on my email list of classes that are being offered, please contact me directly to get added. I would like to start a painting class, which I am offering at my house starting Tuesday, April 9 thru to the 30 from 10:00am-1:00pm. The cost is $135.00, and includes EVERYTHING you need to start painting as well as continue painting. Taking good care of your brushes will ensure a long life for them!

I love multi-media, so incorporating a multi-media class is one I hope will be popular! We are doing a journal cover, whether it be your daytimer, an album, a sketch book, or even a daily journal for someone expecting a baby, or wedding, well, you get the idea! The possibilities are endless!!

I am out at the ALL DAY CROP for Kids Help Phone on Saturday, April 6 from 9:00-8:00pm, so I certainly hope to see  a lot of you there! The school, Ecole Secondaire Romeo-Dallaire, which is located at 736 Essa Rd, is also having lots of prizes, a Silent Auction, and certainly good fellowship! Please call the school for more info. Tickets are $40.00, and there are only a few left!! Advance tickets ONLY are being sold!

Thanks for looking and reading today, folks!

Make it a fabulous day!!

New classes

I have just sent out a mailing concerning my classes and events for the month of March. If anyone would like to be added to the email list, please contact me and I will get you on there pronto! I am looking to get my painting classes up and running and to also dip into the multi- media area. I LoVE creating in my art journal, and if I can explore that avenue with you folks, wow! That would be tremendous! I am still trying to figure out the upload photo thing, just in case you are wondering. My good friend Donna had to help me with some computer issues of late, and when I went to do it myself, yikes. Way too basic! I am making this thing too complicated for my own good, it seems.
Also, just an FYI...March is the last month for Sale-A-Bration with Stampin' Up!, so if you would like to take advantage of that, I am taking orders. If you do not have a catalogue, don't fret. They are available on-line, and with your order I will certainly pop one for you if you like. A minimum of $60.00 is what you need to spend to get anything in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue for free, and they have some really good deals. Also on the web site are some clearance items that may of interest to you, so why swing by the web site to check it out...www.stampinup.com
I am excited to be teaching some tags this Thursday, that's for sure! Been awhile! And if you have time, come by and do some shopping on Monday, March 4 from 1:00-9:00! The paper is lovely, and I have some new embellishments from the likes of Bo Bunny, Kaiserkraft, Tim Holtz Distress Stains and inks....Ideaology is on its way!! Woohoo!
Drive safe out there tonight and tomorrow!!

Cheers,
Cheryl

Monday

I am trying my darndest to get photos up, but am quite frustrated, as my daughter can attest to! She is gettign right frustrated with me calling my computer "Stupid!". I think it is the operator of the dumb thing, but whatever! I would like to post on my blog my fav blogs, so for now I will just have to mention them here: Tim Holtz (BIG time!!); Following the Paper Trail; Rach0113 (totally cool mixed media stuff); Kathy Orta as well. Just type these names in the subject heading on YouTube, and they will take you there. Anna from some Scandi country (I think Norway or somewhere), her link is xannero1 and if you like Graphic 45 Paper, she is your gal! I am making an album along with her at the moment, using Olde Curiosity Shoppe, and it is amazing! Wonderful new ideas and tools, but just a warning, she loves to fussy-cut. Not my thing, but I have done a little bit of it. So, when you pour your coffee, get comfy and watch a couple of these vids! Beware! Time still goes by while you are being thoroughly entertained! Before you know it, you have to get dinner on the table.

Make it a good one folks!

Scrap day at TCS

Good morning, everyone!

As the days and weeks go by, creating new and wonderful things have kept me most busy! I will be at Timothy Christian School on Saturday, January 26 all day, so if you have a ticket and are coming, I would love to see you! I am there both as a Stampin' Up! rep as well as playing host with my new company, Cherbear's WARES! My wonderful daughter, Mikayla, will also be helping me out, so please make her feel welcome! She just got her G2 the other day, so I'm sure she would rather be out driving! I am looking to launching some new product and ideas, so keep checking back to see new posts. Uploading photos seems to be a challenge at the moment, but that will get rectified soon, I hope!
As to new and upcoming projects, all the new product is getting shipped out, although my fav guy, Tim Holtz, his stuff doesn't get here until March, so we'll have to wait to indulge in his new stuff, but at the moment, we can certainly find some wonderful new things to get us up and running! If any of you have any sugestions as to what you would like to see, please let me know, and I will try to come up with something!
Until then, Make your weekend wonderful!!
Cheers, Cheryl

New Year

Good morning!
It is a New Year! My hope and prayers is for everyone to have an excellent year, staying healthy or maybe getting back into that healthy living life-style! That is certainly one of my ambitions this year, to keep up the solid work of staying in some kind of shape (whether apple or pear!!:)). It certainly helps with keeping myself focused in my work.

Looking ahead to some to some of the new things coming out of CHA 2013, tons of wonderful things, escpecially by my fav guy, Tim Holtz! All the new stuff he is coming out with, AMAZING! I cannot contain myself! I want it all! Lol!!

As to the new up and comings of my company, CherBear's Wares, I am holding a card workshop scheduled for Tuesday, January 15, from 6:00-9:00pm, same format as Scrappin' GYPSIES and a Crop and Shop on Saturday, January 19, from 9:00am- 6:00pm, also same format as Scrappin' GYPSIES. Both workshops will be held at the Kozlov Centre in the Commmunity room, which is located downstairs in what remains of their Food Court. The Burgers available there are wonderful!! And the fries, yummy! But wait!! We are not going to stray from our healthy living life-style, right ladies??

Look for my up loaded photos in my next post of the cards that I will be teaching. Until then, enjoy the sunshine today!

Cheers,
Cheryl
